Jayce skills and combos
- Jayce may switch between Mercury Hammer (melee) and Mercury Cannon (passive) using the Hextech Capacitor (ranged). When Jayce switches between forms, he gains extra movement speed for a limited period of time.
- Up in the Air! (Hammer form): Jayce leaps to the desired area and slams his hammer into the ground. Physical damage is dealt to players on the designated spot, and they are slowed for a brief period of time.
- Shock Blast (Cannon form): Jayce releases a shock blast that injures all foes in its path. The shock blast’s speed rises and it deals added damage if it goes through Acceleration Gate.
- Lighting Field (Hammer form): For 4 seconds, Jayce forms an electric field around himself that does magic damage to all nearby opponents.
- Jayce gains a +2 attack speed for his next three basic attacks when he transforms into a cannon.
- Thundering Blow (Hammer form): Jayce uses his hammer to strike the targeted enemy, doing magical damage and knocking them backward.
- Jayce’s Acceleration Gate (Cannon form): For 4 seconds, Jayce activates an energy gate at the designated location, allowing him to observe the whole territory. All allied champions passing through the gate will earn a mobility speed boost.
- Jayce converts his weapon into its alternate form (ultimate).
Jayce is one of the game’s more difficult champions. The continuous swapping of weaponry, especially if you’re new to the champion, can be difficult to grasp. Jayce’s Best Runes
In most matchups, Conqueror would be Jayce’s preferred keystone of choice. You can also take Aery, which strengthens your lane presence and early game. Brutal is a good secondary keystone because it improves your damage and gives you penetration. Because you’re squishy, Adaptive Carapace is a fantastic choice because it provides a lot of resistance while you’re below 50% health. Finally, Sweet Tooth completes the rune build by increasing the healing gained from Honeyfruit.
