Elden Ring Best Class Wiki

Vagabond
- Friendly to Newcomers
- For melee builds, this is a good allrounder
- Highest initial Vigor/HP
The Vagabond is a beginner-friendly Elden Ring best class that can be specialized for Strength or Dexterity to create powerful and relatively simple melee builds. You’ll begin with a normal Halberd, Longsword, and a Heater Shield, though we think the Longsword and shield are optimal for relatively fast strikes and decent blocking skills. The shield is an excellent defensive tool, but it’s also useful for practice parrying with on the lower warriors you’ll encounter early on.
Vagabond players would be able to take more impacts from the beginning, thanks to the highest beginning Vigor-health of any Elden Ring best class, and will receive a great piece of armor for decent protection.
Warrior
- Highest starting point Dexterity
- The melee class is agile
- Excellent in weapon skills
The Warrior is Elden Ring’s Dexterity-focused melee class, therefore lighter melee weapons that need a little of skill, as well as ranged weapons like bows, will be your go-to armaments. You’ll begin with dual scimitars and a shield, allowing you to utilize the Warrior defensively like the Vagabond or offensively with twin scimitars.
With all those Dexterity damage scaling Scimitars, a starting Dexterity of 16 will set you up nicely for early melee damage, enabling you to focus your first few levels on improving Endurance for more dodge rolls and assaults with your Stamina. This will also allow you to skip using the shield and will train you to dodge and parrying efficiently besides just blocking and taking strikes.

Prisoner
- Dexterity is heavily relied upon
- Starting Dexterity and Intelligence are both very high
- Spellcasting at a high rate and melee attacks
The Prisoner Elden Ring class, combines strong Dexterity-based melee and Intelligence-based Sorceries to do a variety of damage. The high Dexterity also has the extra benefit of speeding up spell casting, thus Prisoners have the ability to deliver a lot of damage quickly.
This class suffers from low Vigor and Endurance, hence strengthening HP and Stamina ought to be a priority for levelling up when necessary. Investing a lot of points into Dexterity, on the other hand, will boost your melee and magical abilities, and that should be a priority.
Hero
- Starting Strength is the greatest
- Tanky heavy melee class with Endurance &Â high Vigor
With this Elden Ring class, picking the Hero means you’ll be focusing on strength. Hero players, the polar opposite of the Warrior class, will employ heavier weapons with sluggish attacks that deliver massive damage. You’ll start with 16 Strength points with a large axe, but investing far more scores into Strength will help you meet the criteria of some pretty massive Strength-based weapons early on.
Elden Ring Heroes begin with high Vigor and Endurance, which means they have greater HP and stamina, implying they’re at least a bit tanky and agile. In the early levels, you can increase these Attributes to create the Hero more balanced.

Bandit
- Stealth is required
- Highest starting Arcane
Elden Ring’s stealth assassin is the Bandit class. Bandit players, armed with a dagger and a tiny shield, should avoid frontal combat with groups of adversaries and instead concentrate on critical strikes with backstabs or shooting with the opening Short Bow.
If things get too loud, you’ll have to depend on your evading and parrying skills, as the Bandit has low numbers in all categories save Arcane, providing this class a decent material discovering rate for new gear. The Bandit’s stats are generally modest and balanced enough that switching to a different playstyle shouldn’t be too tough, assuming you can also obtain the correct gear.
